"wow, free legal downloading, what else would you want. Millions of books, videos, musics, sites, resources, video games available at the click of a button."

"I think this would make a great product because it could be used to gear children into reading and families can enjoy movies."

"This website is so useful when you are looking for hard-to-find movies, videos, TV shows, and music. This is actually my favorite website for downloading those materials. So when I had the urge to compile Taylor's albums and other appearances, most of them I found here. And the best part is I don't have to convert the majority of these materials since they are already in MP3 format. The ones that aren't, well, they have lots of software that could convert those to MP3. Truly, this is your one-stop shop for downloading videos, audios, and software, except that you don't pay anything because everything here is freaking free."

"It's impossible that handmaid's tale wouldnt be in here because this is the archive of the whole internet! There are many versions to choose from which makes it easier for me to decide which is more readable to me."

"Great to find these kinds of dystopian out of this world books in here. I have been interested in Margaret Atwood and the handmaid's tale book is really a classic. Learned it from the series and now I'm still interested on reading it online since I didn't get to do it"

"The Internet Archive is still the gold standard when it comes to archived information and media on the internet. I've been using it for years and will never get bored of browsing its esoterica or more popular items, whether it's movies, music, or just old websites saved in the Wayback Machine. The search is powerful and efficient and I always find what I'm looking for. I love it so much I donate every year!"

"The Internet Archive was a great resource for downloading financial help books. They had such a large selection it was easy to search and find something related to the financial topic I needed. It was great that they offered both text and audio books."

"There are over 15 million books on this site! And it's complete free, but you can also donate to help keep it that way! You can also download games, movies and sound recordings as well, a very nice site."

"We all know the Wayback Machine, right? Well, did you know they have a section where you can download free Kindle books? There are SO many books out there you won't even believe it. It's pretty overwhelming (which is my only complaint - it can be hard to sift through everything because there's just so much there). If you need a book but don't have the cash to spend on buying one, check here for it or for something close to it on the same topic. Chance are, you'll find the information or Kindle book you're looking for!"

"The internet archive is a great place to search for people and see old posts, however it didn't index the deep web. This was disappointing, as I couldn't find additional information that's available on the clear net. "

"You should believe in the phrase "What's shared in the internet stays in the internet". This digital library is public access and free from copyright strikes. No modern videos but you'll love ancient relics from the past."
  • Nicole Richards

"In this day and age, the idea of downloading things for free brings piracy to mind. The Internet Archive isn't Piracy, though it doesn't have the most modern options available, either. You're looking at the old stuff, the classics, and for some that's okay. For others...well. There's always other options."

"@Henry Yeah no lmao. This site isn't entirely legal, and if "Nintendoot", as you put it, finds ample reason to prove that the site is providing copyrighted content, it'll still get removed from the site. But if it doesn't, well then, I guess this is the place I'll be getting my roms from too. Let's just hope for the best and hope that Nintendo overlooks this particular gem."

"u might get confused on why itll bring u to a political-looking page, but all u have to do is search for the rom game u want and add "rom" at the end of the keywords. u'll most likely find what u need since its saved ina vaultlike archive"

"I really don't see Internet Archive as a good option for websites to play retro games. I like it more for other types of software and things. I know it does have games but just not the largest selection and it is not the best navigation to find them."

"The internet Archive may have some star wars book, but their focus is on legal content, so it's best not to try to torrent from here. Many other places are full of torrents, but it might be better to use a library instead."

"Internet Archive is an essential website. We like to think of things on the Internet as being permanent - but they're not, not really. Websites go down all the time, and data can be lost forever. Internet Archive is important - there is an absurd amount of content available here, free for all users. I could spend the rest of my life on this site and never actually run out of content, if I really wanted to. I find it amazing to think about, really."

"I enjoyed this website a lot and go back to it often. When I was a young adult, I used to play Super Mario and always enjoyed it, I hadn't played it in years, so I was happy to see it on Internet Archive and was able to happily relive some of my younger days. This site doesn't only have games, it is loaded with older books, movies, TV shows, video clips, just about anything you can think of."

"This is an Archive, ONLY CALL IT THAT; so as not to taint the LOST PAST with Gay 60s' Cartoons, and there STEW-PPPID Rhymes. Like a Nyecomm, it keeps you from having to slog for 3 days and 13 pages of mostly inflammatory/in-joke you don't get/flame over a tiny thing some pubcrawler said, and enter in SAMPLE, or old Geocities URLs, and not only do you get an archived, but also UNCENSORED copy of that old page! ...so many games and Starlog Mag articles, you'll die from a sugar rush!!! The Archive, things existed b4 2007!!!"

"The Internet Archive lets you download Rihanna songs, all right, but you do have to look for them with some effort. Even if the site is basically a gigantic database of songs and other stuff, something that you will have to deal with is that you have to really spend time sifting through everything that's in there since the organization isn't too great. "Internet Archive is a good resource for accessing free ebooks, but it does not have the same amount of audiobooks available. There are some, especially classics, but it is not anything approaching the amount of ebooks they have, but it's still a good resource for free audio books since there aren't a ton of those."

I even received several comments asking me where I got my music. Of course I'm not selfish I directed them to FMA!!! Great resource indeed!"

"While I wouldn't necessarily recommend this service for discovering 'new' movies, as in freshly-released titles, I do think it's an interesting way to discover 'new to you' films. This is an archive resource so the films available tend to be very historic, dating back to the 30s and 40s. However, I would reckon that some of the films made back then rival, if not supersede, the trash that comes out currently. I, myself, have used the archive to rediscover several films and to marvel at the wonders of old-time cinematography."

"Without a doubt, the Internet Archive is a solution for the category of "best websites". Not only is it a terrific resource for finding the pages of now-defunct websites, but it offers up complete books, freeware software, and so much more data that had been uploaded to the Internet way before copyrighting and "pirating" became an issue with the powers that be. With the Internet Archive, the history of the Internet truly is being recorded."
