"The Matrix outranks Star Wars: The Phantom Menace yet again. To be honest, The Matrix really is a better movie than the Episode One and it probably is the best movie released in 1999. The CGI is way ahead of its time and the fight scenes are aesthetically pleasing on the eyes."

"Say whatever you want to say about Star Wars: The Phantom Menace but I feel that this movie is really underrated. The significance of this movie as it pertains to the whole Star Wars universe alone would have excluded it to critical reviews. Episode 1 is the best movie out of the second Star Wars trilogy. Just looking at young Anakin would make you wonder how a kid this sweet could ever become the greatest movie villain of all time. This movie deserves to be ranked as one of the best movies of 1999."

"I have been looking for a great copy of Notting Hill and I am so glad that I found one on this site. Notting Hill is a significant movie for me since it was the very first movie that my wife and I watched together back in 1999. While it is a pretty typical romantic comedy, Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant did a splendid job that lifted the movie. The supporting cast was great too. Overall, this film deserves to be on this list and to be on the greatest list when it comes to romantic comedy films."

"Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles have an on-screen chemistry that is so believable. SO believable, in fact, that it is unbelievable that movie producers didn't try to pair them again. A coming of age movie, this one is a romantic comedy for the ages. Certainly one of the best that came out in 1999."

"Not your typical romantic comedy film. Never Been Kissed is better than most. This movie brought out the best in Drew Barrymore. I would say better than her performances on 50 First Dates and the Wedding Singer."

"Well, I don't see dead people but the boy in this movie does. And. It. Is. Creepy. Not in the way your typical scary movie though. The Sixth Sense has a twist that you wouldn't have guessed if you watched it for the first time. Good movie. One of the best in '99."

"This is one of Adam Sandler's better movies. Certainly better than most films that came out in 1999. Adam Sandler is back with his usual antics, with almost the same supporting cast as with his other movies. This time though, Sandler serves a comedy movie with a heart. Big Daddy is a great film and I will watch it again!"
