    #3Boss Monster: The Dungeon Building

    Boss Monster: The Dungeon Building
oss Monster: The Dungeon Building Card Game pits 2-4 players in a competition to build the ultimate side-scrolling dungeon. Players compete to lure and destroy hapless adventurers, racing to outbid one another to see who can build the most enticing, treasure-filled dungeon. The goal of Boss Monster is to be the first Boss to amass ten Souls, which are gained when a Hero is lured and defeated - but a player can lose if his Boss takes five Wounds from Heroes who survive his dungeon

"Although Boss Monster: The Dungeon Building Card Game provides a fun, retro experience for 2-4 players, it is a bit dated and aimed at those who are fans of fantasy and role-playing games. There are a plethora of card games using regular playing cards that are timeless and not specific to one niche. While Boss Monster is a fun experience, it is certainly not for everyone."

Trifecta, from Zoran Dobrijevic, is a fast, competitive game made specifically for two players. Work your way to victory or spend your turns foiling your opponent just as they think they have a winning row. Players take turns back and forth adding one card at a time to each of six rows. If a row has five cards in it and the total value of the cards is between or equal to 21 and 26, the owner of that row gains a point and the row is emptied. If the total value is a different number, the row is emptied and the owner gains no points

"Interesting game. Either you work toward winning or you work toward hurting the other player. A lot of strategy involved and it took a bit to learn but a good 2 player game in a market where it's rare to find one aimed at only two players."

"This game seems to be a quality solution to the topic, although I don't know if there is any evidence that it is one of the "best" games for 2 people. While it seems doable for two people, it seems as though the game is designed to be more fun the more people you add. "
