"Well we all know this a work of fiction due to the fact that a woman can never be an assassin. Their feeble muscular genetics would never be able to withstand the amount of rigorous training it takes to study the blade. I would know, I've studied the blade from the moment I was born and master it at the age of 6."

"I thought this book was wonderful. I'm a sucker for anything supernatural, but I was disappointed in how the book ended. There were so many questions I had left that were still unanswered. I know the book has continuing stories, but if you use the same character I think that each book in itself should have its own story and complete it within that book. I don't want to wait until the next book to find out if the questions were answered or not. I loved Dead Witch Talking"

"I was looking for a new series to read and after reading so many positive reviews i had high hopes that the Black Dagger Brotherhood would be it for me but after reading Dark Lover I am not convinced. What I didn't like about this one was that I didn't buy the whole instant attraction between Wrath and Beth. When I'm not understanding the attraction, its going to be pretty hard for me to believe whatever else goes on in a story. Beth is portrayed as a smart strong woman but is reduced to practically begging for Wrath to sleep with her about 30 seconds after really meeting him and Wrath for some reason cant resist. Why? I also didn't like the fact that Darius (Beths father) is so respected by the members of the brotherhood (respect for Darius stops Zhadist from attacking Beth for instance) yet Wraths loyalty to Darius doesn't stop Wrath from "taking care of " Beth. I'm pretty sure having constant sex with Beth wasn't quite what Darius had in mind! I have to admit that i almost stopped reading Dark Lover within the first few chapters. There was too many characters introduced and too much backstory crammed into the first few chapters that i had to keep going back and rereading pages to get the story straight. That, i found really distracting and almost stopped me from reading further. I dragged myself through this entire book and I'm still not sure if I will give the next book in this series a chance."

"This book was a recommendation by my book club but I did not care much for it. The three preceding books in this series were fine, but this one was underwhelming. This book felt rushed and quite frankly, this work seemed uninspiring."

"All I can say is wow when it comes to this book. It is really boring because the concept made absolutely no sense to me. A tattoo artist turned vampire is out to kill everyone who he has inked in the past. I really could not take this book seriously because of the weak plot. "

"I recently bought the book "The Veil (Devil's Isle)" as a present for a friend of mine that loves paranormal stories, and I'm confident that he will like this book as well, since I read very good reviews about it. There are also some romance and fantasy influences, so I'm sure that it will be really funny to be read!"

"I read this and it takes you back to another time, into the past around the time that the world was a war. I have read the new(2.0 version) n=and it really does help the book be easier to understand. Do I think it is the best adult urban fantasy book,no I do not because the story was just not all there and it seemed like it needed more story told. "
