"I picked this book up as I like this genre and it had good reviews, but ultimately I was disappointed in it. The dialogue and story flowed which is good making it an easy read, unfortunately, the whole time I felt like I had read this story before as it was so similar to other books in this genre, I was really looking for a unique storyline."

"American Resting Place is certainly an interesting book in terms of what the end goal is, but I personally find this to be disturbing in a general sense. It's not my favorite by any stretch and I'd suggest looking elsewhere if you find things relating to cemeteries either creepy or sacred."

"Science Fiction Trails 8 is a unique concept; a compilation of stories that are part sci-fi and part western themed, written by 8 different writers. I appreciated but did not love with book. I just cannot get into wild west type stories. It's sort of like the book form of that Will Smith movie Wild Wild West. Great, if that's your thing."

"The book does a great job of chronicling the early (and many) successes of the Rebel army led by Lee with Jackson as one of his right hand men. Everything builds to the battle of Gettysburg, which is covered in the 2nd book The Killer Angels, and by the time you are done with this you want to pick up the book immediately.BEST history novel. I would NOT call it alternate."

"I did not like reading this book, because it was so cliche. It was another evil company story which could not keep my interest. I did not care for the characters at all and the setting was bland. I fell asleep reading the book several times and I do not regret it. There are better alternate history books to read."

In this alternative-history novel, the Nazis invaded Great Britain in 1941. The King is in a dungeon, Churchill was assassinated and the SS is in the Whitehall, commanding even Scotland Yard. In this scenario, Len Deighton creates a fabulous spy story different from any other.

#14In the Balance (Worldwar Series, Volume 1)

In the Balance (Worldwar Series, Volume 1)

This is a very intelligent novel that creates an alternative history of the World War II where Earth has been attacked by aliens with weapons far more deadly than the ones owned by the Axis and the Allied.

" I consider myself somewhat of a history buff so I'm always looking for new material to read whether it's stories, documentaries, or autobiographies. I stumbled upon In The Balance (Worldwar Series, Volume 1), and decided to give it a shot. I got a killer deal on the Kindle Price so I didn't want to pass on that. Now this is a very well crafted novel. It creates an alternative history of World War II which I found very fascinating as it was probably my favorite to learn about. Now the crazy spin is aliens have come to Earth and putting our existence in threat. They're here, they're bad, and they have way more deadlier weapons than either sides of the Axis or the Allied forces! It's a really fun read. I look forward to continuing this series to where it goes. If you're into history and want a fun spin on things I'd recommend giving this a shot."

"It is great to think about the big decisions in this country and wonder what might have happened if things were different. This book plays on that idea, and give you a interesting look at how one change can influence everything in the world. From the moment Lindberg wins, it is just a waterfall of changes as the book progresses. A truly great book that I could not put down."
