""So..I’m fed up with meetup. I’ve found another platform that solely focuses on pickup sports, is simpler, spams you less, and costs nothing" There's a very large active community of recreational sports players. You can create a group and invite all your regulars as well as the broader opensports community, post game, view and join local games, easily invite players who live nearby who play the same sports and are available at the same time, and build new friendships!"

"When I carefully read the T&C it became clear that it's not free for someone to start/organise a group. After organising Meetup groups and paying their rates, I was sceptical that this platform would be free, hence my initial scepticism. I'll keep looking for a genuinely free social networking alternative to Meetup."

The Craigslist Barcelona page is pretty bare bones - no fuss here, but also not a lot of ways to customize what you're looking for. Still, it's easy to navigate and I'm going to give it a shot."

"I needed an alternative to MeetUp because nobody used it anymore. I was browsing the app store one day and I came across this app called "Conecter" and my personal opinion is to avoid. There's not that many people using it so it takes forever to make or find an event people are going too. Also, the app is really buggy and slow. I highly recommend you avoid this app."
