"Would I say this is a good alternative to MS Paint? No, simply because it's use is limited. It doesn't work on all platforms, and it doesn't offer any "out of this world" features. If you need an MS Paint alternative in a pinch, this will probably suit your needs. Otherwise, there are much better alternatives elsewhere."

"Microsoft Paint provides a simple solution for the average user but the software does not offer the kind of variety other programs can deliver. Krita is a free open source solution that works flawlessly on the Mac, Windows, and Linux - what's not to like. One of the reasons I love this product is it's Open GL support. Truth be told, I just can't stop doing art when I open Krita."

"I think that Microsoft Paint is junk software and just about any paint software can replace it, but I think that PaintCAD might be worse. I would not suggest this software after looking at the website and watching their video."

"Everyone raves about Microsoft Paint, but I'm looking for a good and more importantly cheaper alternative. Pyxel Edit offers an intriguing package: buy the software in beta at a discounted price for 9 bucks...then as the new versions are released the package price will grow. But if you buy now all future versions will be available to you for free! So while Pyxel Edit may not be nearly as sleek as MS Paint right now, it's still a solid investment. "

"While Microsoft Paint is a great editor I have found another free editor that does much more. Photoscape will even work with photos and it has even more filter and tools to enhance your project than paint. It is an intutive design that I could use quickly and easily and my projects looked better in mere minutes. "

"Nothing is more frustrating than using graphics software designed decades ago and never updated for today - Microsoft Paint is one of the worst offenders. But using Corel Draw lets me draw more naturally and capture my sketches and other artwork then edit it as needed. The only problem I have is the price tag - ouch!"
