"Google Photos is basically the same thing as Picasa. Picasa was simply discontinued and re-branded as Google Photos with added features. This one hundred percent still has the Picasa feel to it and layouts."

"Okay, so you love sharing and uploading and browsing photos like me on picasa but you're looking for an alternative app right? Well, I was in the same boat until I found Flickr! With Flickr I can upload and share photos with my community as well as browse thousands of other photos, all at the touch of a button! It's highly compatible and works just as smoothly as picasa if not moreso. I've uploaded hundreds of photos so far and have not experienced any issues, lags, etc. I got that sometimes with picasa, however infrequently. Flickr is free to try and browse and there are so many people using it! I love the wide assortment of photos available and I know you will like that too!"

"Since Picasa has been discontinued, I have been looking for a place where I can organize all of my photos. I decided to try Dropbox. Dropbox is very easy to use. I was able to load my photos and organize them, but it is not exactly an ideal replacement for Picasa. Dropbox does not seem to be made just for photos as Picasa was. I will have to keep looking to find an alternative."

"Picasa is so easy to use, I take it for granted. Still, it isn't perfect so I've tried other alternatives. Paint.NET has been around for years and it shows, frankly. I just couldn't get into this one. I prefer apps with slick interfaces and a small learning curve. "

"I have used Picasa before pretty regularly and find it to be very easy and user friendly. Photoshop, on the other hand, has a huge learning curve and, although it is an alternative to Picasa, it is very non-user friendly."
