"This is not a very good alternative as most of the streamers on Twitch are not doing it from a professional or team based lens. Those who are interested in watching MLG may also be interested in watching Twitch streamers but there isn't much overlap when it comes to the professional atmosphere of MLG> "

"Recently I have been having a hard time become partnered on Twitch and decided to look for alternatives. I had totally forgotten about Steam Broadcasting and couldn't be happier with the service to this point, especially since most of the games I play are on Steam. It is very simple to start broadcasting and you will receive information quickly about the health of the stream. Definitely recommend trying it out for those who are unhappy with Twitch."

"Smashcast is pretty much the only other alternative to twitch.tv these days. The interface isn't as slick and it doesn't have as many features, but if you want something that's not as corporate, then smashcast is the way you should go"

"Mixer is a surprisingly strong competitor to Twitch because of some really interesting features. To begin with, there is no delay or lag between the streamer and the viewer, allowing a much better experience for both sides making it much more of a conversation. It also offers the ability to stream with friends on the same page, combing communities which is just a load of fun."

"The chat function in YouTube gaming in comparison to Twitch.tv is abysmal. The chat function is absolutely terrible, and the sponsors don't have as many incentives. YouTube Gaming is much newer and doesn't have a good outlet for people to find you. It's just a terrible design all-around without as many viewers."
