"This is definitely a different type of book that regarding the Amish-aspect, and yet, I am intrigued. I think having taking place in the Amish lifestyle, it may have a bit of a "Nineteenth century" vibe to it. I've also always enjoyed an interesting mystery story."

"The writing is good enough, but seems to rely to heavily on overused tropes for the plot. Overall, if you like the subject matter, it will still hold your attention."

"This is a great culture shock, fish-out-of-water style book that thrusts a young girl into the heart of Amish country for her own safety. I'd recommend this book to anyone really. The characters are fun and the situation is very unconventional."

"Very sweet book about an Amish family. "The Beloved Hope Chest" brings to life the experiences that Mattie Fisher went through early in her adult life. The events in her life prepared her to be able to be there and assist her daughters, as they went though struggles and challenges of their own. "
