    #1Gas Guru

    Gas Guru
Locate the closest and cheapest gas stations and nearby businesses with the click of a button. This app is by Yellow Pages, who must update the gas station's prices. This is not a crowd sourced app.

"Waze is a free app that helps you navigate in an instant. It is available in both Android and iOS and is a mapping service. It's premise is that with the help of other driver's reporting on traffic, accidents, etc, you can have the most up to date information available. It takes your location, and with a touch of a few letters in search brings up your location immediately. It tells you arrive time and mileage, there is also a STOP button if you do not need the service or veer off course for a moment. "

"I love Torque Pro! I had an old laptop I set up with a dinky cable I bought on Amazon, and it sort of worked, but it was a hassle. I started using a Bluetooth dongle with some open source software, and that worked better, but still sub-optimal. Enter Torque Pro. Combined with the Bluetooth dongle, I just run TP on my phone and it's like being in a Star Trek universe, where all this useful diag info is right at my fingertips. Since this runs on any Android, I was able to install it on an Amazon Fire HD 7, and then have a real time true RPM display while driving, by duct taping the Fire to my dash. Awesome!"

"I deliver pizzas for a living and Google Maps is the best navigation app around. I just enter in the customer's address and it takes me right to the house. I can even bring up a satellite photo of the house to make sure I'm at the right place. It's amazing. I also can download a bunch of the apps to use offline, just in case I have to take a delivery somewhere where there isn't good cell phone reception. It's a great navigation app, and definitely the best one available."

"aCar is a great app for people who just like to track things like mileage and get service reminders for their car. But it really becomes amazing if you drive as part of your job. It not only helps you keep track of mileage, but also how/when you fuel up, gas mileage, your service record, and all sorts of other data you may need to report for compensation from your employer or report on your taxes. Plus it can be used for multiple vehicles, or sync across multiple devices (if your household shares a car for instance). And it integrates with several other services. I love it!"
