With the release of Sword and Shield, all eyes are on the Pokemon franchise yet again. Well, Pokemon has been a long-standing franchise that's popular across various media. Chief among them would have to be its series of games. Starting with Red, Green, and Blue back in 1996, all the to 2019, with Sword and Shield, there have been 18 core series games so far. The latest console to receive the Pokemon treatment is the Nintendo Switch and it had games for Generation VII and VIII.
