Did you know that Summoners War: Sky Arena's creator, Com2uS, is a company created by three Korea University students? In 1998, students Jiyoun Park, Youngil Lee, and Yu Gin Hyeon created Com2uS corporation, a game developer focused on creating games for mobile handsets. Many of the company's games are massively multiplayer online roleplaying games, like the games from the Chronicles of Inotia series, Queen's Crown, and Summoners War: Sky Arena. But it also ventured into sports games for mobile devices like Home Run Battle, SummitX Snowboarding, Golf Star, and the games in the 9 Innings: Pro Baseball series. Aside from enjoying millions and millions of downloads, many of Com2uS game applications have received awards, either from local or global organizations. Golf Star was named Game of the Year by the Apple App Store, while Summoners War won the 2014 Korea Game Awards Excellence Prize and Technology award. Com2uS itself received awards and marked milestones, as it won the 16th Korean Consumption Culture Awards in 2017, and was in the UK Pocket Gamer's Top 5 Global Developers list. To boot, Com2uS boasted $200million in sales in 2016 and recorded $80 million in cumulative sales for Summoners Ware alone in 2017. In 2013, Korean gaming company Gamevil acquired a majority stake in Com2uS.
