DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that Pharrell Williams is a Grammy-winning music producer? A lot of people know Williams as a rapper, singer, songwriter and fashion designer. But aside from that, he is also a great music producer. He has won the Grammy's Producer of the Year award twice (2014 and 2019) as a solo. He also won that award as part of The Neptunes duo in 2004. The Grammy Award for Producer of the Year is awarded to the best music producers. The award was first handed out in 1975. The award seeks to honor artistic achievement, technical skill, and excellence in the recording industry. The award disregards album sales or chart position. Other notable producers who have won the award multiple times are BabyFace (4 times), David Foster and Quincy Jones (both 3 times).

The skill involved in music production is highly technical. Though the formal study is not required for music producers, it is of big help. Music production needs a balance of creativity and technicality in order to succeed. The success of one artists' song or album is highly-dependent on the skill of his/her music producer. Nowadays, a lot of amateurs and young talented people are into creating their own songs while producing them. Music production apps and music production software are easily available for them to use to create music conveniently.
