"This is one of the better anthology things. I don't typically like these type of projects, they always feel cheap or gimmicky. This didn't. It was a geat read."

"Nelson Algren presents an anthology of works that be the basis for all his later novels. If you want to get a summary of his literary achievments, then this is it. Great short stories that sum up the lives of the disillusioned and downtrodden. "

"This book is a collection of cancer survivor stories, which would fit the category of anthology fairly well. Because anthology is a broad topic, this very well falls under that topic and would be an enjoyable read for someone interested in inspiring survival stories. "

"I love this anthology series. I own all three, and am very happy with them. The stories are very readable and intriguing. I'm also a tutor and use them with my students, who enjoy them. The length of the stories varies from just a dozen pages to 100. Overall a great read and a great way to find new authors to read."

"Your Life Idyllic is an outstanding collection of short stories that will captivate all adult readers. Many of the stories are strong enough to be the opening chapter of a full length novel yet none of them left me feeling the story was unfinished. The book evoked a journey of emotions including: hilarity, sadness, nostalgia and wistfulness. Bernier displays a level of empathy when developing his characters that could qualify him for a doctorate in social work. I was able to fully immerse myself in the characters even when they were quite different from me. His attention to detail paints wonderfully vivid pictures. I am buying several extra copies to give out as Christmas gifts because the stories are so well crafted and not confined to any particular genre. A reader can consume the book in a day or in snatches of time here and there."

A few of the tales are set in Alaska which i just loved because i am obsessed with Alaska as a whole. Very quick pace and beautiful scenery. Something you can indulge in and not even know where the time went. "
