"This book has been getting a lot of positive press as of late. To me though , it's just another garden variety teen fantasy. It does little to distance itself from other similar books such as The Hunger Games."

"This is the ending of this series and it's a bittersweet read because of that. Lara Jean is a beloved character who is now faced with some extremely important decisions and her life will be completely different going forward. She is looking forward to her father's wedding, which is a very happy event. while being conflicted about which college to attend. Her choice of college might mean she has to leave her longtime boyfriend so there's a lot up in the air in this satisfying conclusion to her story. "

"Not quite sure how to judge exactly how much "hype" was or is around this book, but, judging on the relative fame of the author and the book's reception, it does appear that it was fairly well anticipated relative to other 2017 releases. It marked the start of a new series by the author, and it looks like the fans were excited to see it come out. It moved quickly up the charts as well. It is fair to say that audiences were pumped up for this one."

"Honestly, this book seems a tad boring in my opinion. Initially the book drew me in because the protagonist knew exactly when people where lying and I found that pretty interesting. But when the book started talking about shadowy forces started to threaten the serious, it became very boring and superhero-ish."
