"MoodKit sounds like a great way for a person to help themselves in the privacy of their own homes. It also would be good for someone who does not have access to mental health counseling, either because of access or financial reason. However, it certainly does not replace an appointment with a licensed therapist. Users should be encouraged to meet with a local professional to further help themselves and should be directed to resources if they do not have mental health coverage in their health insurance."

"Being an individual diagnosed with major depression, I would say that the app would be unnecessary for people who clearly understand the signs/symptoms of depression. However, for people without researching mental illness/depression prior to using the app, it would be great"

"Sometimes I am my own worse enemy when my moods drag me down. I am a bit apprehensive about opening up to others or talking about my issues and stresses that weigh me down. I read self help books and I've listened to numerous podcast about issues on depression and self motivation but it's all temporary for me. Recently I found a a really useful app that has been helpful for me when I find myself down and just looking for a voice and answers to help me manage my stress. The app I found is called Depression CBT Self-Help Guide. It's a free app, so it didn't hurt me to give it a try, and it definitely has been very effective in helping me cope and manage my down moods. It's a complete application that contains useful articles. There are a lot of self test provided which tells me the severity of my moods. There are plenty of articles, professional clinical articles related to cognitive behavioral therapy that I find so fascinating and relative to my needs. One of the most useful features of this app is the relaxation audios. They are really good in helping me to fall into a deep relaxation. The steady voice lets is calming and soothing. This is a serious situation that many face in their lives. I've found something that works for me in this Depression CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Self-Help Guide. I'd recommend to give this a shot as it's a free app. Yes, there are some ads, but for the features and resources you get in this app, those ads are worth what I got from this app as it's really helped me through a lot of down moments from work, daily life, and stresses that often come up."

"This app is something I had been looking for, but never found until now. As a person suffering from depression, sometimes you just want to talk but not to people you are close with since that opens up a lot of questions and possible accusations you don't really want to deal with. On this app, you can find someone who will listen, talk and not judge you (like family and friends can sometimes do, even without meaning to). "
