"I've been using Word for years and it works well for me when it comes to writing. It does everything I need for publishing articles and blog posts. There are plenty of features and formats to choose from, which is great for me. My only complaint is that it is a bit bloated and can have issues when trying to convert it into other file extensions."

"Nice, simple space to record your thoughts and be able to come back and access or finish them anytime. Sometimes a great idea or thought hits you when you are on the go and it's gone by the time you get to a space to write it down. This solves that problem. You can input it into the app and then continue to work on it later if you want when you get to your regular workspace. "

"While I do not doubt that this app could be used for writers, though I do not understand why since it is a text editor, it appears to be geared towards programmers. "Select from over 50 text processing actions to create your own workflows for extending Editorial's feature set. For even more advanced automation, you can write Python scripts with an integrated code and UI editor." Writers don't use Python, as it is a programming language. I'm sorry, but this solution is a terrible one. "

"I think the value of Byword depends on the kind of writer you are. I'd say it is definitely not the best app for writers, that it's very simple given the cost and there are so many more feature filled options available for writers. But for blog writers, I think this might be a decent and possibly good option for them because I know it allows direct publishing."

"I like the premise but nothing about this works correctly. The setup is very cumbersome and the developer does not seems ot have been doing too much with the app lately. Not worth the time, I would recommend to avoid. "
