"I strongly recommend the Gravy app even more so than Throb because it has all of features and more. I love the trending feature and my friends and I use it to organize and plan our evenings out. The app is free to use and I know that it very useful in my social circle. I use a lot to find live music events and I have discovered a lot of great bands just from using the app."

"All Events in City is a city guide app similar to Throb, but from my experience, it functions a bit more consistent. I was impressed with All Events in City ability to show events near me in certain cities. However, this app does not work in every area which can be frustrating when in a smaller town."

"I've always used to say "Ugh, it's so boring in my city. There is literally nothing to do." This app has made me realize how wrong I was. You open the app and are given a big list of events and other similar things happening right in your city. It's given me more reasons to leave the house and actually go outside and do something! Amazing app!"

"This app is fun to use when I'm in a new place and I'm looking for things to do - the things to do come to you! I discovered things in my own city that I hadn't known about before. I also used this app in a city as a tourist and had too many options to count! I like that you can specify your interests, like museums and architecture, and you don't have to pay extra for a tour guide or local to show you around. The interface is easy to use, each location comes with a description and information, but I don't like that you can't see ratings and review from other users."

"This is a maybe-hit-maybe-miss kind of thing. If you're a big concert-goer, this could be an exceptional value. But if you're somewhat picky with your music, this could be a lot of money spent to waste a lot of time and listen to a lot of music that isn't to your taste. Basically, it's a concert subscription - so it's really only good in areas where there are a lot of venues and bands and DJs to choose from. Even then, it may or may not be the kind of music you actually like - so it's great for those who want to get out there and want to discover local bands. Not really useful otherwise."
