I used to play a game on the DS that were like brain exercises which included a variety of math and word puzzles. I found the Math Master app to fill that void once I got rid of the DS. The variety of games and puzzles included in the app helps keep my brain sharp when I find myself not doing mind stimulating work. The old saying of "use it or lose it" definitely applies here as I was shocked to find out how I'd almost forgotten simple multiplication and division after so many years of not using it. I try to use the app daily to keep my mind sharp and it helps me in every day life by not struggling to figure out how much of a tip I should leave or how many apples I can get for 5 bucks at the grocery store. Not really surprised that this app is number one in list of apps to improve your math skills. In general, it will focus on training your arithmetic skills and logical reasoning. Yes, this has a set of questions to test your abstract reasoning. I am recommending this to students and adults who are about to take important exams for job and whatnot. More

Number Drop puzzles start easy but get more challenging than any other math game. You have to work out how to make multiple values with one grid of numbers. It is the best way to train your mental arithmetic.

This is more of a game rather than an educational app that teaches you theoretically. King of Math is something I'd play when I am bored on the bus or train. Gameplay is pretty fast-paced. Also, character design and music are compelling enough to make learning math easier and more fun. More

Math is never about memorization but rather analysis. I am not really sure why Eidetic is among the top choices for apps for improving math skills for adults. Perhaps, the aim of the user who suggested this was to sharpen memory rather than arithmetic skill. Fair enough. More

Eidetic is a rather interesting app that helps you to learn and memorize information. It, however, is NOT an app to improve math skills. Users looking to improve their math skills are advised to look elsewhere for different apps or services. More

Personal Zen is a fairly simple app that provides basic games for stress relief. The games are almost too simple and seem to be a bit boring and pointless. When playing games, I'm not sure what the goal is or what I'm supposed to be working towards. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend Personal Zen for anyone who is looking for something fun, interesting, and time-consuming. Maybe it would be more suitable for kids. More
