"My husband is a finance nerd. I swear he has excel spreadsheets for everything. So having this app calculator that can do everything from calculated mortgages to retirement is helpful especially when others are asking for advice. Recently we had a BBQ and friends were asking my husband for retirement advice. He whipped out his Financial Calculators app and started plugging in numbers for his friends to show them what they needed. It has been very handy."

"I use several music players depending on the device I'm using. Spotify however is the one I use the most. I've been a premium member since the US release. and it's been worth every penny. 99% of the time they have the songs I want as well which is nice. I basically have Spotify going for an hour each way into work and 8 hours a day while at work. It's by far the app i use the most and probably wouldn't be able to get through the workday without it"

"I know Instagram is very popular with the younger folks, but as a senior I am a little leery of putting lots of information out in cyberspace about my personal life. Security is a concern, and I would be worried about sharing pictures of my grandchildren. Sadly, in this day and age, one never knows who is looking at and/or monitoring that information. I do use Facebook, however, and like the privacy features that offers."

"Citymapper is a travel helper app that is available from the google play store. It gives you the ability to check subway, bus, rail, ferry and ride sharing all in real time. It features the transit maps and bike routes. If I lived in a city where these things were available, I am sure I would make use of this. However since I'm out in a rural area it wouldn't tell me much of anything."

"This app really saved my current phone. Often times when you download other apps you open up your phone to attacks. Having Avast Mobile Security installed gives you a layer of protection. It will constantly scan your phone looking for Trojans and the like. And even more it can protect your photos so you won't find yourself on a billboard in Central Asia."

I love having google translate built in. So helpful when you need to communicate with someone who doesn't share your language."

"This isn't really a great solution because it is not really an app that does things by itself. It is something you can use to an add on for other apps. It is also not a list of apps that people use or the best of it is one app that works with others."
