"If you're like me you love food! Well, perhaps you have a cookbook or two but do you have an Australian one? Yeah, I didn't either. The Cook's Companion, by Stephanie Alexander, is an aware winning cookbook that really makes it easy to create great recipes from scratch and if you're like me and wouldn't know where to begin to make something Australian I highly recommend this book! Stephanie guides us not only in the cooking process but also with what tools to use, where to buy them, what spices to add and so much more. I loved this cookbook immensely for its clarity and comprehensiveness and I think you will too!"

"This book is a somewhat good solution, written by the Country Women's Association of Western Australia. However, they are not professional chefs and many of the recipes are out dated. This book was first published in 1936. I would think there are better options out there."

"This a "friendly vegan" cookbook so I would say it is more of niche book and most fun or best in the narrow opening. It does not appear on any list of "best Australian" anywhere i could find and there are vegans on those lists. This is not a first choice."
