What are the best Baki mangas?

If you're a fan of martial arts, there is no shortage of good manga and anime series out there. One that stands out from the rest is a series called Baki. So, why is Baki manga such a popular series? In our opinion, the series has been a balancing act between realism and over-the-top action. It manages to remain believable through all the gore and violence and we think that's one of the reasons for its enduring popularity. If you haven't read the manga yet, now is a great time to do so. With rumors of a possible Baki manga 2020 release and the on-going Netflix series, there is a lot to look forward to. We thought it would be cool to make a list of some of the best Baki manga chapters and story arcs while we wait for new ones to come. "Baki is mostly a fighting for fighting's sake. Very little character development outside fights but it's the fighters' philosophies that really hooked me into this. Some of them is moving, especially what it's like to dedicate your life for something and it's still not enough. This Baki manga is an example."

"I'm thrilled with a Netflix announcement of having Baki finally on Netflix so I went back my Baki collections and found this one. Itagaki himself has a unique approach to manga. He's obsessed with martial arts and I could see it through his manga. I'm glad this side story stays true to that."

"My favorite part was when Baki had a fight with a 9 foot tall imaginary praying mantis. That's just so unbelievable, having to make your own imaginary enemy and treat it as very much so real. This manga pretty much shows that there's more to Baki than this sheer determination."

"My most memorable instance in this manga is how Baki threw himself off a high place to gain a near-death focus. That was so daredevil in my opinion and extreme. I pretty much enjoyed Baki mangas and even up to this gaiden he still shines."

"Honestly I prefer the anime over manga. I admit for both anime and manga the story is fairly good but it went sloppy as Baki aged. I don't know why that happened. Yet credits to Itagaki for the action-packed manga pages."
