"It's a love story and it's not my typical choice. But it's biblical and i can see how some people would seek it out. I'd recommend for my mom or my sister. A bit long and very emotional, I could've waited for the movie though."

"I didn't think this story was going to be as good as it was. The story of King Soloman from the Bible and his queen, it was just fascinating. I know it is just fiction, but the characters are so humble and it was interesting to read about them. I really enjoyed how the author told this story."

"As a reader of the Bible, I was a little familiar with the story of Esther. This book provided a little more insight to Esther's thoughts and her desires to help her people. It did show her to be somewhat more passive and meek than I perceived her to be. However, women in the Bible are not usually portrayed as strong, powerful women, so it is not surprising that this book also kept her submissive and obedient. A nice story to introduce a person to one of the few influential women in the Bible."

"There seems to be a lot of biblical books written about the story of Esther. For Such a Time by Kate Breslin is another book written on about this story, except this takes place during World War 2. I like this retelling of the story and the way the author was able to reimage the story to that of a young Jewish woman in a concentration camp. A well-written book that I would definitely recommend to others."
