What are the best blacklight apps?

Make things glow in the dark! A black light can turn white clothes and neon-colored items even brighter than they already are in the darkness because of the UV light it emits. You can find out for yourself by using these blacklight apps to experiment.

    DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that UV lighting not only affects humans but plenty of animals and insects as well? Bees, for example, can spot UV light due to it reflecting off of flower petals, effectively lighting their paths to nearby pollen. Additionally, scorpions, no matter what kind, glow into a bluish-green tinge under UV light due to a rather thin yet tough coating over their exoskeletons. Although scientists are still unsure of what the purpose of the fluorescence serves, one major theory is that it protects them from prolonged sunlight exposure.

The credits for the black light's invention go to William H. Byler way back in 1935. Despite its creation many years ago, the invention is still being widely used in the present. Unlike flashlights, black lights are most commonly used for inspecting stains or for detecting fluorescent marks rubber-stamped on an establishment's guest's wrists. On a wider scale, they're also utilized for the authentication of banknotes, oil paintings, and other valuable objects. While being a pretty expensive item back in the day, there are now a wide variety of apps available for mobile phones and other devices, making inspections easier whether they're for your work or for entertainment purposes.
