2.0, an upcoming Bollywood science fiction film is considered as the most expensive Indian film up to date. The film is written and directed by S. Shankar who is recognized for directing high budget films and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran, a British Sri Lankan entrepreneur and film producer. The film is considered as the spiritual sequel to the 2010 film, Enthiran. The film is being shot in two locations, in Tamil, and in Hindi. It stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, and Amy Jackson. 2.0 is now undergoing post-production and is declared to have caused an estimated $67 million.

The success of Enthiran in 2010 paved the way for the producers to decide to make a sequel immediately. By March 2011, it as revealed that the initial pre-production work had begun for the sequel with the same team that participated in the previous movie. In June 2015, the pre-production work with Lyca Productions, an Indian entertainment company started. Other Bollywood movies included in the list of most budgeted Indian film are Saaho at second place with a cost of $45 million, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion a 2017 film with $37 million cost and Padmaavat at fourth place with a budget of over $32 million.

"If you're looking for one of the best recent Bollywood movies, give James Erskine's Sachin a try. I'm not even that big of a sports fan, but I found this movie nothing but captivating. I'd be lying if I said this movie didn't make me shed a tear or two. Sachin Tendulkar deserved to have his story told, and this movie told it better than anyone could. It's pretty recent, too, considering it was released only last year. The movie hits all the drama spots and would satisfy any sports fan or non-sports fan alike. Definitely check this out if you're a Bollywood fan or just on a Bollywood kick."

"First off let me say I'm a big fan of 'behind the scenes' in the movie industry-type books. Bollywood, though, is not really on my radar for interest. This book is designed for someone already knowledgeable in it so watch out! My aunt bought me this book for my birthday because she knows I'm a film major, but I don't know anything about Bollywood. At least, I didn't. This book offers a historical perspective with just enough background for anyone to understand basically what's going on and how the movie industry is vitally tied to Indian culture. Pretty interesting."

"Indian spy thriller film directed by Meghna Gulzar. It’s Alia Bhatt though who is the beating heart of Raazi. She plays Sehmat with zero affectation, giving us a fully realized character that feels entirely authentic. The film gives her great scope to flex those dramatic chops, and Alia delivers not only in the big emotional and breakdown scenes, but also in smaller moments, making every little head-turn count. It’s a solid performance – from the sheer rigor of her training to be a spy, to the grit she brings to the mission, Alia doesn’t miss a beat. You can watch it at jaihotv.com"

"While I enjoyed this book, it's a book and not a movie so I can't really recommend it to someone looking for recent movies. You will definitely find a lot of the big hits from Bollywood written about here, but it was published over a decade ago so it's not very recent for that either."
