"I picked this up for my niece for her birthday. She says she loved the "gift" as she had been thinking about picking it up herself, but she found it disappointing overall. She adored that I remembered her mentioning this."

"Clockwork Angel is the first in the prequel trilogy to the Mortal Instruments series, set in London during the late 1800s. There are a lot of Shadowhunter family names that are recognizable if you have read the Mortal Instruments first, as well as a few characters that were seen in those books. This was a fun read. The characters are well rounded, each one is distinct. Cassandra Clark leaves you wanting more."
