"This is certain a book that includes addiction on a certain underlying level, but given that it really is about a narcotics investigation, this is a very poor fit for the category. It's really more of a non-fictional account of the investigation and where it led."

"My ex-wife's family had a drug addict who they all protected (typical denial) and a lot of passages in this book reminded me of those people. While it was a bit troubling to read and re-live a lot of that bad chapter from my own past, I was also reminded of how happy I am that I no longer have to deal with them or their enabling behavior. Fantastic read, though a little poignant."
