"Great book that really goes deep into Chicana and Latina Culture. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of Latina lesbians throughout the stories."

"This is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, and you're probably not going to find anything that matches the request more specifically. I really loved this quaint little tale, and while I could have done without the poetry, that's just a me thing rather than a critique of the writing."

"So Far From God is a pretty eclectic look at the very unusual life of Sophia and her four daughters. It will keep you entertained while it tells the tale of their life. A good read for those interested in this genre."

"It wasn't what I expected. It's a collection of strange stories with even stranger characters. That alone made it interesting to see other perspectives than my own. I could never quite understand how some of the people think about things and get themselves into such circumstances. Still, it made me think about my own life, which is good."

"The Last Generation hardly is a book about Chicana and Latina lesbians. It is more of a broadly generalized collection of prose and poetry which consists of different parts. This book crosses genres and creates something interesting in the process but is it the best book about the topic? I think - not. "

"This story is about a lesbian couple, but I was specifically looking for a book centered around Latin Americans. One of the characters is vaguely of latina descent, but it isn't exactly what I was seeking out."

"I have a Latina co-worker who is openly lesbian, and so I figured that the best way to understand her lifestyle, was to find a book about it. Online lists recommended something called 'La Frontera' aka "Borderlands', so I bought a copy. I didn't learn much, it just wasn't very well written. Even if the contents were profound, I had a hard time finishing the thing. Maybe someone with different tastes will get something out of it that I didn't."
