"This book made me feel uncomfortable because of its subject matter , but I read through it because I wanted to see what ended up happening to the main character. I think it is important for people to get exposed to info like this because it helps people sympathize with children who suffer from abuse. Hearing vivid details about anorexia made me put the book down after a couple of days, but I ended up finishing it to satisfy my curiosity. If you are comfortable enough with the experience, then I would give this book a go."

"although this book suggestion talks about cousins it doesn't really go with the topic at hand. The book does not talk about child sexual abuse. The book is an intriguing book and does sound interesting but it is not really about the topic."

"Great book couldn't put it down I read it in one day. I have read a couple books by this author and so far they have all been 5 stars. This book as all the good feels a romance novel should have. The chemistry that Elec and Greta have is known right from the minute they meet even when Elec is giving her a hard time about everything. Once they both give into the spark They share its an up and down roller coaster from there but a really good one.It has that taboo feel that adds to the excitement since being step siblings their relationship is frowned on"

"This is a difficult subject matter, that I have seen a lot of authors stumble with and fail. I thought Maysonet did a good job with it, and she told a compelling story. If can sit through the squeamish parts, than this book might be for you."

"The only thing I was troubled by was the character of the enigmatic abuser who after essentially allowing himself to be caught continues to manipulate the facts and control Jeff from jail. The story should not be about him but I would have liked to see some closure about him."

"Some parts of the main character's personality are pushed to the extreme to the point where you can't even believe it during the story. The plot is really sad, though. Hearing about children growing up in abusive households is an incredibly tough read for me but this was worth it in the end."

"Who is the target audience? This is certainly not a work for kids who have been sexually abused or who are victims of incest. Adults may get something out of it, I guess. Perhaps the cost of the book might be better used for therapy. Nothing wrong with therapy."

"At first "Such a Pretty Girl" sounds a very dark book but actually it will give courage to those who have been abused. The fight of a little girl against her abusive father might not be interesting for all but keep in mind that these topics are painfully real. "
