"My parents were huge Elvis Presley fans. Growing up, I listened and danced to all of his songs that played on my parents' record player. Recently, I wanted to know more about the man I grew up listening to as a child. This book was fun and interesting to read."

#2Kings of Memphis: Elvis and Tutankhamen

Kings of Memphis: Elvis and Tutankhamen

This book explains one of the most famous theories about the life of Elvis Presley: he was the reincarnation of Tutankhamen. Many coincidences in the lives of these two men made the fans think that the king of rock and roll was one of Egipt's most famous pharaohs, that after his tomb's doors were opened in 1923, managed to get into the body of a man born in 1935, a man named Elvis Presley.

"I received this book as a gift by someone who knows that I am a big Elvis fan. I am not a fan of this book though. I honestly don't even know why I finished it. It is utterly ridiculous, and pretty much any other book on Elvis would be better. I honestly can't believe anyone would find the theory behind this book as even remotely plausible."

"For my music class I had to write a report about older artists. I chose Elvis Presley because he was controversial when he started out. I bought Last Train to Memphis: The Rise of Elvis Presley to do the research. It was very informative and was enjoyable to read. I based some of my report on the book and got an A."

"This book is a must read for Southerners as it accurately portrays a land stuck in the decaying of a more prosperous time. A mother-daughter story of discovery and the people close to us that we take for granted. Elvis is a central theme in the book but not a cheap knockoff like so much Elvis fiction. I loved it and highly recommend. "

"Okay, mixing a plot line of Elvis and a supposed stillborn brother Jesse that lived instead of dying with Jesus and making Judas his brother is about as far of a stretch you can get. Too weird of a story to enjoy. I would leave this one to gather dust on the shelf."

"I believe that this solution is good but could use more detail. While it does provide a book about Elvis Presley, it makes no mention of what all the book covers. Perhaps explaining what is meant by "The Complete Recording Sessions.""

"Well, this romance is about Elvis only in that his song is part of the story. It is the common love story genre that keeps the paper mills churning out pages for paperbacks of the millions of women who like their romance stories. However, it is a neat story that is at least not about cowboys, cops, princes or rich businessmen."
