"This book covers some extreme forgiveness. Many people committed some horrendous crimes against humanity as shown throughout this book. The key was getting the victims to see that letting forgiveness in their heart did more for them then it did the perpetrator. "

"This was definitely an interesting book to read. I love books that take viewpoints from many characters and use it to paint a bigger picture, and that's more or less what Ms. Le Guin does here. Although isn't isn't the type of story that shows 4-different-ways-to-tell-the-same-story, this is more like a mini-collection of stories set in her Hainish world, where the events may or may not overlap. Each story has its pros and cons, but in the end it gives us a deeper insight into the world(s) that she's created and how the people who inhabit these societies cope with things they may not have previously expected. I did like the 4-story version of this book because it helps create the breaks that I needed to allow me to put down the book at night."
