"The who is one of the great bands in rock history and Pete Townshend one of the most underrated song writer's of the twentieth century. This is a interesting book and one rock fans and historians will enjoy. I wouldn't call it definitive, or essential in that respect, though. "

"Horse's Neck was my selection to read after Pete Townshend's memoir. I grew up listening to The Who so I loved learning about his life before and during his rise to fame. The story gave more of an insight into their music and how he presents himself to the public, which made me feel closer to one of my favorite bands. "

"I love reading about interesting people. Pete Townshend is one of my favorites to read about. I find these people's lives fascinating. This is the best book about Pete Townshend. I've literally read them all and can tell you. Even so, after reading this I found it slightly lacking. like I didn't get a true sense of who he really was. Still the best one though."

"My father was a big fan of The Who so naturally while I was growing up I heard a lot of their music and Pete Townshend became someone I looked up to as a kid. I read this book mostly looking to read more about Pete but it's a great book for anyone looking to learn a bit more about The Who and the members that made them up. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy their music."
