"Ella Enchanted is a great YA novel and is appropriate for any age, even adults. It shows that a woman can overcome anything and fight back! It does feature a princess but she isn't your ordinary princess which I love. It makes young women think and I feel like any woman should read it"

"I was looking for better books in regards to princesses and this book puts the icing on the cake! It has a great story line and is very thought out! Princess Benevolence has such an impact of a character in the book and you will get sucked in! I also like how this book isn't full romance like a traditional princess story. There is much more to it!"

"Cinder by Marissa Meyer looks like a great recommendation for a book about a princess. The book has 4.6 out of 5 stars and 3,272 customer reviews with a reasonable price range and multiple ways to purchase to enjoy. It most definitely fits the search criteria and things I would find for an acceptable purchase."

"A great YA/middle grades fairy tale retelling about Cinderella, but does she really count as a “princess”? I suppose since she marries the prince she does, so I'll call this a win."

"No wonder this book is a New York Time's bestseller! However, I would not regard this book as a 'princess' book because when you hear the word princess, something girly comes to mind. This book is more of a fantasy novel that takes place in a medieval era where there are kingdoms that rule the land and the people. The book is somewhat slow-to-start, but for a good reason. The author provides an in-depth picture of the setting the novel takes place in and the relationship between Katsa and Po is entertaining."

"This book takes the "Prince Charming selects a commoner to be his bride" trope and sets it on its ear. Miri, from a mining village, and other girls from her area, are sent to an academy to be trained to possibly be selected by the prince as princess. When a crisis arises, the students must spring into action to protect the prince and the kingdom. Miri learns about the skills she did not know she had, and discovers a strength of character she was not aware of. This is a great story for kids who like princess stories, and delivers a plucky, lovable character and a feminist message."

"This is a good royal court story filled with palace intrigue and mystique. Like all of JDG's books, it has enough detail to really know about the story, but doesn't just use the pages for filler. I've never been bored by these Princess stories, and Princess of Glass is no different. Recommended."

"Decent book, definitely not among the best princess books. It provides a bit of realism in which the character is all over the place (and still trying to find herself), but it does not really compel the reader to go much further. Good read for the younger (teenage) crowd. "
