"Got the book based on seeing the movie from a few years ago. This book is the first an a very interesting series. Lisbeth Salander is a character the defines the book even though absent from large part. The intrigue of her character adds interest to the mystery. This is a book with many plots and twists and a series that would amaze anyone."

It is a fictional book that tells the story of how Laine is haunted by the death of her life partner. She blames herself and can't move on. It is a very depressing story and isn't for me at all."

"I could not put this book down once I started to read it. The story is quite disturbing and it could turn some people off but I found it realistic and engrossing. I wouldn't recommend it to younger readers though because of the subject matter. I loved Lila's story. She is a strong character and one who shows her caring side. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want. She entraps you and takes you on her journey on her quest for free will. It's heartbreaking at times but uplifting at others. The story has many twists and turns but keeps you engaged throughout. "

"The premise of this book is a bit hard to go with at times, but it works. For someone growing up being sexually abused, it's hard to ever forget those thoughts and magically, this person forgets/repressed completely all of them and saw her father as a saint. Hard to buy but the book sends a great message in the end."

"The comments in The Perks of Being a Wallflower had a general feel about the subject matter. I believe I was looking for something with a new focus, and actually not a work of fiction. Although fiction can answer some of the problems of sexual abuse I was looking to seek help for, spending 5 days reading this book nearly blew my expectations out of the water."

There is a trigger warning with this book for sexual abuse so if that sort of thing bothers you, then I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise, it's an amazing book even for straight people to read."
