"The book is not mainly about the country of Somalia, but it talks about the country in some ways even if the whole story is not mainly for straight references but more on fictional purposes. The book to me is already too interesting to pass on to but when it comes to being mainly about Somalia, this feels like a bit distant from it."

"I don’t really like the story went as if the author perspective focuses on the civil war. It could have gave other side of the story and made the story more neutral."

"Ayaan Hirsi Ali gives us a snapshot of what it is like to be a Muslim woman. from her birth on she explores the radicalism of the faith. She risked her life informing women in the Arab world of tragic way they are treated and how they are basically slaves. She rejects a arranged marriage and has death threats placed on her life. She is a brave woman and a spokesperson for the plight of these women. She now lives in the Netherlands, she came as a refugee and sees the beliefs creeping into Europe and she is trying to prevent that. "

"A book of Somali poetry is so wonderful for anyone that likes to read poems. Poetry that is from a particular area can entice history buffs as well. The poems tell their own story of how life was, and such passionate works through the writer’s eyes."

"I wanted to read some books that dealt with Somalia and came a crossed "Silencer". This is part of a series of novels but unfortunately this one actually took place in Colombia. It was a entertaining book however and would recommend the Nick Stone series personally."
