"Colby Buzzell's book is based on everything he blogged about while serving in the Middle East as a US soldier. It's sometimes graphic and cruel as wars tend to be. Other times it's hopeful and gives you a real sense of how those soldiers support each other. But it's always fascinating to read."

"Go I love war! It's so awesome. Especially when its taking place far far away, and doesn't ever affect me or anyone I care about. This is a totally rad book about how much these rough and tough Americans kill bad guys. They do it in awesome heroic and totally necessary ways. Totally necessary. totally not started to get contracting jobs and pumping taxpayer money into the military industrial complex. totally necessary. totally. these men are heroes."

"Joydeep Roy-Bhattacharya's The Watch is one of the best books I have read about the Iraq war. It is believable and brings up issues about morals, humanity and the devistation of war. The ending was sad, but I was prepared for that inevitable outcome. This one will be memorable for me, and I will probably read it again."

"This book has nothing to do with the Iraq or Afghanistan war. In fact is is about a Pakistani woman and her mother and is a little too forced and dramatic in its plot. This book did not interest me because I wanted to read about Iraq or Afghanistan not Pakistan."

"I was really inspired reading this book. It followed Colin Powell through his childhood to adulthood and the struggles he went through. I could relate so much to the book because I grew up in a bad neighborhood as well, but I got out this bad situation by graduating college and getting a good job. I may not have become a politician like Colin, but we both were able to find success later in life. I liked the book also because it showed me what politicians are like with their family and friends when they are out of the public eye. His role in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are explained in great detail and I got to learn his views about the situation."
