"Why We Run offers a unique perspective on the physiology of running. It is well written and easy to understand but will probably only appeal to you if you like to run. I see the book more as a reference for research than something I would read straight through. There is a lot of information about the human body as related to other species that is quite interesting."

"Wow. Just wow! I didn't expect to be so inspired, now I'm sure I won't run a marathon so big but because or this book I want to do our first marathon as a family. "Before reading this book I had not really none that much about arctic races. An educated guess just tells us that this is not a walk in the park race, but I had no idea. This race is insane. you have to be in a totally different mindset to even attempt it let alone finish it. This book detail the story of Mark Hines a exercise physiologist became one of the first people ever to complete race. The temperature drops are crazy. I felt that this was a very honest portrayal and really enjoyed it. "

"To me, The Great American Bunion Derby read more like a work for juveniles. Nothing really special, but there can't be that many books written about ultramarathons. This work could be one of the best of a very small selection."
