"This is a not so great book that puts werewolves in a fantasy light. The Twilight series dumbs down and puffs up werewolves as well as vampires, and provides dramatic and superficial representations of their supernatural selves. There are many, many other fiction novels having werewolves that are much more engaging and enthralling than the Twilight series."

"The book was about self discovery and the only female werewolf in the world who has stupid mutts to stop. I can't say I like Elena but her story and relationships made for a good story. If you want to read about a love triangle, self discovery, and crazy lone werewolves bent on killing the whole pack then this is the book for you."

That's a huge time commitment and this would not be a good place to jump in. It seems interesting so maybe I'll show her the series, but I won't get this for her just yet."

"The classic modern novel about werewolves is Stoker's Dracula. Werewolves have been part of western-folk lore since antiquity but it was Bram Stocker who solidified it's place in literary history for the modern man. All other werewolf books, whether explicity or impliclity are dependent on Dracula. "

"The Wolf King is the final book of a three-book series on lupine shapechangers. Silver Wolf was a worthy entry to the series, and while readers get to see Regeane again in the Wolf King, this final book is not of the first one's quality. The story becomes somewhat disjointed, and one can easily lose track of all the characters and how they tie into the plot. It's entertaining, to be sure, and worth it if you have enjoyed the rest of the series."
