"I recently became interested in learning about Zen Buddhists and some of their teachings and this book had very unique and interesting incite. The book talks about the Mumonkan, which is a classic text that is filled with ancient Buddhist riddles. These riddles are taken on throughout the life of a Zen monk and learning all of them means true mastery. I loved this book because it could have came off as dry and boring but it really was more personal and thoughtful than I would have imagined. The riddles and journey to learn them is so great!"
