"After reading Death of Kings I was hooked. I decided to seek out all the books written by Bernard Cornwell. This is only my second read from the author but they just keep getting better. I just love the fictional war stories that also have some historical truths. Another great novel read by him. Ill certainly be back."

"I have loved Bernard Cornwell's novels for many years now. I started with the wonderful Sharpe Series and then Starbuck Chronicles and the Grail Quest, I have now worked my way through fifth novel of his Saxon series and it doesn’t disappoint. We follow King Alfred on his second campaign and can’t say more, but if you like history: English, Military, European, Saxon, and World History. You must read Cornwell and this book"

"This is book seven of the Warrior Chronicles series, and I have to say it's my favorite. In fact, it's arguably Bernard Cornwell's best book period. The Pagan Lord is an addicting read, highly entertaining, and chugs along at a quick pace which left me wanting to read the whole thing in one sitting!"
