"A bit of a tearjerker. If you are a fan of war stories or heroic war characters this one is right up your alley. One of the better war novels i have read in a long time. I would have to say that you should watch the age warning on this , i think it was appropriate though of what was inside. "

"I read this when I was in high school, many years ago. I think it had a deeper meaning to me back then as opposed to reading now as an adult. The story is very good but it is clearly meant for a teen audience. "

"I definitely don't prefer the author's style of switching narrators. It is, however, and interesting story following a woman as she looks for meaning in her life. It is very relatable and almost feels like a work of non-fiction because it seems so real."

"You might have seen the movie, but throw that out the window because this one is much more in depth and certainly not an easy read. At times i had to put the book down just to sit and stare for a minute. I do not want to give any spoilers but you would have to have some heart to read this one, Great stuff to read though if you do not know anything about the story beforehand. "

"I love a good book by our friends up North. I feel like its a different way of life and we can really get into the bones about what something is seen as. Anne of Green Gables felt like that. I think that there were too many movies that made sense but as the book wore on, it took on its own meaning. This was a great tale of a girl and the problems she has as she matures."
