"Typical of Ellen. Witty, humorous, and inspirational. It's more a like a series of short stories, instead of a life story. If you watch the show a lot, much of it may sound familiar. "

This book, Stories I Only Tell my Friends, is a very enjoyable read filled with stories of Rob's rise to fame in 80's Hollywood. Even if you are not a Rob Lowe fan, the book itself is very interesting and will keep you interested."

"This is one of the most overrated "books" that I have ever laid eyes upon in my 47 years. Of course, the book has all of the praise from the usual outfits like People magazine to create hype about it. Well, the book isn't worth anyone's time. It's nothing but a money grab by Amy Poehler along with some more "look at me" type of usual nonsense. Terrible book."

"While most biographies are a self grandizing work, this one takes that prize on that front. It is over the top and almost painful to read. It seems to be a puff work thrown together at the last minute with dated pictures and platitudes and catch phrases. It looks and sounds like a money grab and ego boost as a way to stay relevent. Not impressed in the least. "
