"Candyfloss is a children's book that focuses on divorce. Somewhat of a morbid topic for children, but of course it all works out, as it normally does in children's books. I won't say how it works out, but I assume it's no mystery that it does since otherwise it would probably not be marketed to kids. It's not my favorite book, but it's worth a look. Pick it up and try it out."

"Girls in Love was an alright book. Obviously it's a young adult romance novel, so I'm not exactly the target demographic. With all that being said - I don't think this is the best offering from Jacqueline Wilson. If you'd like to read her better works, then I'd suggest skipping this one and checking out some others. "

"This is an interesting book. Sort of for kids, but it's kind of written for maybe teenagers instead of grade school children. My daughter was slow to take to it, but I kept after her a little and encouraged her to look up the words she didn't understand. Once she got a few chapters in, she stopped needing my nagging, and finished the rest on her own. The story does take a bit to get going, but when you're past that and into the tale of the girls traveling around with a circus, it gets interesting. My daughter ended up loving it."

"I love children's books that accept the way the world is now. Most of the old classics truly come from a different place and time and can't really relate to children these days. It's nice to see a book about a young child in foster care and how she deals with the situation. I'm sure many children in difficult circumstances can get some good feelings from this book."
