"This is a literary fiction. Interesting insights into the mind and motivation of people. As with other Zweig books, compelling and well written. I thought it excellent."

"In my opinion, this is Zweig's best work. Both of the short stories in this book are worth reading. The language is a bit hard to understand, so it will take a little longer to get through the book. However, the stories have great meaning and messages. If you are looking for a new book to read, I suggest giving this one a try. "

"Das ist ein gut bucher! I'm an English speaker who is learning to speak Deutsche. Zweig is not an easy author to read from this perspective but his book was interesting enough to keep me engaged and pushing through my language barrier."

"If you've ever wanted to know more about the rebellious Marie Antoinette and also a book written by the amazing Stefan Zweig then this book will definitely quell your interest! Zweig gives such a great psychological view on Antoinette and such a detailed overview of Europe during the monarchies reign. His writing helps make you feel as if you were personal friends of the family and that makes this book beautiful. Just a warning though some who are extremely into history may find some things they don't believe are 100% accurate but I'll let you be the judge of that. "
