"This J.K. Rolling is a classic which has lead to many sequels. This is probably the best of all the series and hands down one of the "classics" of fiction. The book is very well written and takes you on an unbelievable journey."

"The Road is everything you could want out of a post-apocalyptic fiction story. Grit, struggle, shock, evasion, survival at all costs. It tells the tale of the father and son, wandering the wastelands of America after an unnamed cataclysm that seems to have destroyed almost all life on Earth. I found myself really putting myself in their position, fighting the moral and ethical lines of survival in a world that can't support the people living in it. Cannibalism, tribal wars, and occasional good people populate the story of harsh living with little luck that isn't bad. I didn't read it, I lived it."

"My cousin is an avid reader and I'm always looking for the next good book for him. I recently did a search for the best books b the best fiction authors and stumbled upon "A Song of Ice and Fire". Wow was he blown away. He loved the story, the characters and everything about the book, especially the fact that it is the basis of the hit TV series Game of Thrones. He is now hooked on the author, George R.R. Martin, and is trying to get more books in the series."

"The original publisher made the decision to split the work into three parts. It was also the publisher's decision to place the fifth and sixth books and the appendices into one volume under the title The Return of the King, in reference to Aragorn's assumption of the throne of Gondor. Tolkien indicated he would have preferred The War of the Ring as a title, as it gave away less of the story."

"While I do appreciate the humor that came with this book, I can't say that it is one of the best books by the best fiction author. I'm sure there are others out there that would fit this category a lot better. The story is good in that the main character is not your typical girl / vampire, but the whole vampire scene is pretty much drawn out. You get some of the same elements in each type of book that it becomes boring. It was good, but it was not the best that I have read."

"This one sounds like it has enough action in it that it could even be a movie. This is a book that I would read if I wanted some excitement but it's not on my go to list."

"Very long novel and not something I see myself reading again. It took me forever to get into it. It's one of those books that can possibly put me to sleep. I made sure to read on to see if it would get interesting and it's lacking in that department. "

"This book was terrible! The plot is weird, and the writing at times seems childish. The characters we're boring, and the book never really picked up speed. I stopped reading this after the first couple chapters. It is awful!"

"I've been hearing about this book for years, but never got around to reading it. Neil Gaiman's works are kinda hit or miss in my experience. I'll probably give it a try some day, when and if I stumble across it and I have nothing better to do. I've always enjoyed sci fi - just not necessarily when it's mixed with comedy. "
