"Cosmos is not specifically written for atheists, but rather for those who might wish to understand the universe from the ground-level, and realize just how small and insignificant we all really are. It falls into line with the belief system--or lack thereof--that atheists often have, but the religious can enjoy this just as much so long as they are willing to set their teachings aside for a moment."

"This isn't scholar Bart Ehrman's first time covering this type of material and the writing shows it. Mr. Ehrman has quite a command of the life and times of Jesus and provides great insight into questioning the New Testament from a critical point of view. The book was sharp and insightful and is a great place to jump in for any atheist."

"This is a great book, written by one of the most seasoned writers in the field. He is brilliant and in full command of a vast array of information to make his points, but he explains these heady concepts in ways that are easy to follow and understand. He's also clearly passionate about the importance of education, critical thinking and evidence-based thinking. This book feels less like an attack on Creationism and more like an attack on ignorance."

"I recommend this book and learned a great deal from it. Please consider this review in that light. This book which sets out the gene centric theory of evolution is difficult for a lay reader (me) to review. Dawkins tries to make the subject understandable to just about any non-science but reasonably well -educated reader. Throughout the book, Dawkins attempts to make it more approachable by using snappy colloquial language. Nevertheless, this is a challenging read."

"I found this book to be very interesting, however I would not classify it as a book for atheists. Granted, it does call one's faith into questions, but it also questions many different things that are reported and happen to people. There are many things that cannot be explained as the book points out, but I do not believe it is because I do not think logically about them."
