"I mean, you can't pick a more appropriate book to have for your LDS book club than the Book of Mormon. It's also possible and probably that you are aware of the book so let me also suggest "The forgotten Skills of Self-Sufficiency Used by the Mormon Pioneers" by Warnock as a way to picture what it was like for those early days of the faith. "To Kill a Mockingbird is an absolute classic that is still a great read up and to this day. As a participant in a LDS book club this is one we read some time ago and I would be surprised if other book groups hasn't done a read through on it as well. If you haven't read it simply read it."

"I bought this for my daughter who is in an LDS book club and this was one of the books she had to read. She told me she fell in love with the main character Lily Owens who has gone through tragedy. It opened her eyes to many things regarding racism and overcoming adversity. She told me it was one of the best books she's read in years."

"The story is filled with African cultural information that engages members of my Reading Club in productive discussions. Having little knowledge of Africa, they are learning through this medium cultural information that they can relate to some common practices they have experienced in their everyday lives. The humor of the book keeps readers looking for the next minutes. The book is morally strong and provides good examples of integrity, character, selflessness, and a range of other modes of behavior that children of this generation rarely consider. I will be looking for the next book in a few weeks."

"Absolutely enthralling book for our LDS book club. An amazing true story of a family who risked their lives, with the guidance of the Lord, to save Jews during WWII. As a member of the LDS church, this is exactly the sort of thing we were looking for. A great example of how accepting God's love and using it to helps others will garner your support and guidance from the Lord himself."

"This was a good LDS story which has some very interesting characters portraying the leads. Although the story was good, I felt that it wasn't really enough to keep me fully engaged with the story. I felt the end was slightly rushed and the characters could have used more characterization."
