"Definitely on my top 10 books to read. I absolutely love this book. It's really a great read and it brings back so many memories for me. I read this in school and read it again after I married. I still go back to this book every time I want to relax and read something good. It's the best. Marianne is my favorite character in this book."

"10 Steps to Girlfriend Status by Cynthia T. Toney is a well-reviewed book that seems to fit the format of Young Adult novels aimed at teenage Christian girls. This suggestion for someone looking for this type of book seems to fit well, as it is ranked as a best seller in several of Amazon's best seller lists. However, it may be a better idea to suggest the first volume in the series, or a collection of all The Bird Face novels. Perhaps starting on volume 2 may be problematic for someone unfamiliar with the series."

"This is an interesting first-person account not only of a Jewish person hiding in the Netherlands, but of World War II in general. Anne Frank is a good writer, and you really capture the humanity of what she is describing. She does not hide her contempt for the Nazis but at the same time shows that people can be good as well. A recommended read."

"This is good, but only for older teen Christian girls. The book tells the story of Dinah, but it is after all historical fiction, and may upset some Christians as it does not follow the Bible literally. There are disturbing topics such as rape that are not appropriate for younger teens. The book is also quite controversial, so parental review is a good idea before you let your teen read it."

We're very restrictive of what she reads, because we don't want the evil of SATAN to violate her mind and take hold of her SOUL. With all the secular liberals pushing His dark agenda, it can be very difficult, but Hadassah is one of those rare books we've found that, despite some of the murkier plots where Esther is being willful, is appropriate for our sweet little girl. With some guidance, of course: We don't want her running off to Turkey, after all!"
