"A fun whimsical story that does not take itself to seriously. This is a classic, and if you have not read this yet to a child your missing out on a great life experience. The artwork is superb, and the story is time tested and a proven favorite of many children."

However, if you're looking for books for a boy that's younger than that, you may want to look for a different one that's easier for them to follow. This book is also great for children that are learning basic math and grouping!"

"This book is one of the more valuable and creative ones that I've purchased for my son since it actually serves to teach a real moral lesson about sharing. I like to read him this book everyday because he's at an age where the lesson of sharing with others is very important as he prepares of pre-school. The drawings themselves aren't necessarily the best images I've seen in kids books though it does manage to keep his attention and has helped his demeanor. "
